ELMO-Jimmy Hoskins, age 73, passed away peacefully at Parkdale Care Center on Aug. 1 after a courageous battle with cancer, with his special friend Lisa by his side.
He was born in Oklahoma and loved the country setting he grew up in. His trades varied from driving tanks in the Army, hand crafting log homes, operating cranes and driving a moving semi tractor while helping people move their personal belongings with care.
Jimmy felt right at home when he moved to Beehive Homes in Elmo. He joked that he had moved back “to the sticks”. It was there that Jimmy found great friends and the family that he had been searching for.
He was a quiet man by nature but was known for his huge heart. He could often be seen enjoying a quiet afternoon out on the porch with a cool beer and his Tops tobacco.
A memorial in his honor will be held at a date to be determined. His final care is entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home, Huntington Utah.
A special thank you to everyone at Rocky Mt. Hospice for all their support and tender care. We would like to also thank Beehive Homes and Parkdale for all their special care for Jimmy.
