KENILWORTH-Ray Tyrel Hanson, age 28, passed away Feb. 2, 2013 at his home in Kenilworth. He was born Nov. 14, 1984 in Price, Utah to Raymond Bruce Hanson and Glenna LaRae Jensen. Ty was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He graduated from Carbon High School Class of 2003 and later attended the College of Eastern Utah where he received his Associates. During his studies he loved being in the school musicals, Jazz Band and as a broadcaster for C.E.U. His life revolved around music and all it had to offer. As an accomplished musician, Ray could play anything by ear with any instrument. Over the years, he received several awards for playing the saxophone and guitar.
Ray loved camping, barbecuing and dutch oven cooking in the foothills of Kenilworth with his buddies. He loved visiting with his family, friends and he loved people of all ages. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survived by his parents, Ray and Glenna Hanson, Kenilworth; sister, Diana (John) Fredricks, Mingus, Texas; nephews, Levi Denny, Trevor Denny, both of Norfolk, Virg; Zane Denny and Noah Fredricks, of Mingus, Texas; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.L. and Leonda Hanson, Joseph L. Jensen and Glenna Chubbuck.
Funeral service, Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, 2 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price. Family will be at Mitchell’s Tuesday evening from 6-7 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
