Spartans look strong at home meet

The Emery Spartans swim team opened their season by hosting Richfield at home. Emery came out top in the combined team scores defeating Richfield, 277 to 235. The girls team defeated Richfield 135 to 121. The boys team also came away with a victory with a final of 142 to 114.
In the girls 200 yard medley relay, Madi Allinson, Kaitlyn Saling, Laryssa Guymon and Chyanne Carter finished in first place with a time of 2:10.75. Valerie Chynoweth, Tarryn Parkins, Jamie Gilbert and Erin Oliverson finished in second place with a time of 2:49.56
In the boys 200 yard medley relay, Devin Wilson, Kelvin Childs, McKade Hansen, and Justan Potter finished with a time of 1:59.63.
In the boys 200 yard freestyle, Kayden Parkins finished first with a time of 2:21.21.
In the girls 200 yard individual medley, Laryssa Guymon finished first with a time of 2:32.91 and Madi Allinson finished second with a time of 2:45.48.
In the boys individual medley, Levi Jensen finished second with a time of 2:41.57.
In the girls 50 yard freestyle, Chyanne Carter was the top Emery swimmer in third place with a time of 29.51
In the boys 50 yard freestyle Emery claimed the top three spots, Spencer Fauver finished with a time of 25.10, Justan Potter, 26.02 and McKade Hansen 27.17.
Melece Pulli finished second in the girls 100 yard fly with a final time of 1:26.78.
McKade Hansen finished second in the boys 100 yard fly with a final time of 1:12.10.
In the girls 100 yard freestyle Chyanne Carter was the top Emery swimmer in third place with a final time of 1:05.68
In the boys 100 yard freestyle Emery took the top four spots with Spencer Fauver finishing first with a time of 57.26 and Kayden Parkins, Levi Jensen and Zac Fauver finishing respectively.
In the girls 500 yard freestyle Krista Wright finished second with a time of 7:14.27
In the boys 500 yard freestyle Nate Gilbert finished second with a time of 7:32.22.
In the girls 200 yard freestyle relay, Kaitlyn Saling, Tarryn Parkins, Krista Wright and Melece Pulli finished in first with a final time of 2:15.92.
In the boys 200 yard freestyle relay, Travis Fehlberg, Taigon Pulli, Zach Clifford and Nate Gilbert finished in second with a final time of 2:05.38.
In the girls 100 yard backstroke Madi Allinson finished first with a time of 1:15.16 and Valerie Chynoweth finished second with a time of 1:31.25.
In the boys 100 yard back stroke Devin Wilson was the top finisher in third with a time of 1:13.63.
In the girls breast stroke Laryssa Guymon finished first with a time of 1:14.98 and Kaitlyn Saling finished second with a time of 1:29.18.
In the boys 100 yard breast stroke Kelvin Childs finished first with a time of 1:16.96.
In the girls 400 yerd freestyle relay the girls once again took the top spot with Chyanne Carter, Melece Pulli, Madi Allinson and Laryssa Guymon finishing in first place with a time of 4:26.95.
The boys finished strong in the 400 yard freestyle relay with Kelvin Childs, Levi Jensen, Kayden Parkins and Spencer Fauver taking first place with a final time of 4:15.77. Emery competed in the Cedar City invitational on Nov. 15-16.
