CLEVELAND-Our wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Elaine Olsen Allred, age 69, passed away unexpectedly Dec. 25, 2013.
She was born May 29, 1944 in Price, Utah to Charles Eugene and Golda Smith Olsen.
On April 30, 1963, she married the love of her life, Royce Guy Allred in Las Vegas, Nev. He preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 2008.
Elaine was a resident of Cleveland and a longtime employee of BK’s in Huntington. She was a member of The Seventh Day Adventist Church and she dedicated her life to the service of others. Family meant the world to her and she was extremely proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Elaine loved going on rides in the pick-up with Royce to the farm to see the spring calves. She enjoyed baking, camping, playing horseshoes and listening to old country music. She spent countless hours working in the garden, caring for her flowers and watching the hummingbirds.
Elaine touched the lives of many and her acts of kindness will be cherished forever.
Survived by her son and daughter, Michael (Lori) Allred, Elmo, Chris Allred, Cleveland; four grandchildren, Tana (Jake) Christensen, Price, Kenna Allred, Elmo, Dusty Allred, Price, Wyatt Allred, Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Royce Michael and Nevaeh; sisters, Katie (Bill) Austin, Price, Merlynn Foster, Wellington, Darla Hanna, Hotchkiss, CO; brothers, Derl (JoAnn) Olsen, East Carbon, Terry (Leslie) Hansen, Price; sister-in-law, Alice Olsen, Price; many loving nieces, nephews and a large extended family of Allred’s whom she loved dearly.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Royce; sisters, Gaylene and Bonnie Jean; and brother, Roland “Sonny” Olsen.
Funeral service was held, Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, 11:30 a.m., Cleveland LDS Ward Chapel. Family received friends at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price Sunday evening from 5-7 p.m. and at the church Monday one hour prior to services. Interment, Cleveland City Cemetery, Cleveland.
