Wildlife-watching event
Taking a close look at bighorn sheep. The town of East Carbon-Sunnyside is home to a unique group of summer residents, a herd of about 25 bighorn sheep rams! In mid-June, the public and media are invited to come see the rams. This band of bighorns is used to cars and people, so you can observe and photograph the sheep at close range. Biologists will be available from 6 p.m. until dark to help you locate the animals and to answer your questions. Note: Because of drought conditions, the sheep may be moving around more than they usually do, but we will do all we can to help you spot them.
When: Saturday, June 14 from 6 p.m. to dark.
Where: East Carbon-Sunnyside (20 miles east of Price.)
Contact: Brent Stettler, 435-636-6731 or 435-613-3707.
