GREEN RIVER- Cheryl Ann Keener, age 66, passed away on Nov. 19, 2014 in Green River, Utah while surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 4, 1948 in Provo, Utah to Bill and Carma Burnett Moore.
Married Michael L. Keener March 18, 1966 in Salt Lake City. They shared 48 wonderful years together.
Cheryl enjoyed riding motorcycles, bowling, attending Jazz games, watching rodeos and bull riding with her family. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved horseback riding, trap shooting, drawing and painting. Cheryl was a secretary for the Emery County Sheriff’s Office for 25 years and a volunteer EMT with Emery County Ambulance Service from 1986 to 2006. She touched the lives of many and her dedication and compassion will never be forgotten. Cheryl enjoyed spending 45 years with her kids and grandkids and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Cheryl is survived by her loving husband, Michael Keener, Green River; daughters, Pam Keener, Spring Glen, Kimberly Keener Andrus, Green River, and Debbi (Rick) Davis of Cory, Colorado; granddaughters, Cheryl Ashlee Keener, Price, Kari Lynn Mayall, Green River, Jordan Amanda Huber, Spring Glen, and Jenilee Dawn Andrus, Green River; grandsons, Stephen Michael (Misty) Mayall, Magna, and Garrett Wade Andrus, Green River; great-granddaughter, Kayzen Lynn Mayall, Magna; great-grandsons, Claidyn Michael Mayall, Magna, and Andrew Daxtin Mayall, Green River; sisters, Katheryn Moore, Florida, Karen Moore McNatt, Sandy, and Susan Moore (Bruce) Watson, South Jordan.
Preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, James William Moore.
Memorial service, Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, 11 a.m., Green River LDS Ward. Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service. Interment, Elgin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to “Cheryl’s Christmas Wish” at Eastern Utah Community Credit Union C/O Michael Keener. Your donations are greatly appreciated and will help less fortunate families during this holiday season.
