American Fork/Price – Rose Huntington Denison – On March 31, 2015 her children think Rose turned her eyes to Heaven and said, “Amel come and get me today. I refuse to die on April Fool’s Day.” It was five weeks short of her 98th birthday.
She was born May 9, 1917 in Orangeville, Utah to Leonard Feno Huntington and Caroline Ingaborg Sitterud. She married Amel J Denison Oct. 29, 1937 in the Manti LDS Temple.
As an active member of the LDS Church, she served in numerous church callings, always sharing her outstanding gift of creative writing and lesson presentations. She loved serving as a Gray Lady and later as a Pink Lady at the Price Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband Amel and two granddaughters, Nicole Bumgardner and Xana Harmon.
Her survivors include her children and their spouses, Irene and Sherril Harmon of Mesa, Ariz; Annette and Ted Fitzgerald of Payson, UT; Joyce and Bob Gardner of Simi Valley, Calif; Richard and SuEllen Denison of American Fork, Utah; 14 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 23 great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 6, 2015 at 12:00 noon in the American Fork 20th Ward Chapel, located at 835 E. 500 N, American Fork. Graveside services and burial will be in Price, Utah at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2015.
