Deputy Doug Downard retired on June 30 after 30.5 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Emery County. Deputy Downard started his career at Emery County Sheriff’s Office in January 1985 working as a jailer. He later transferred to patrol where he worked until his retirement. He spent the past several years working in Green River. A retirement dinner was held in his honor at the park in Green River.
