FERRON, UTAH – Deanna Rae Hancock, 64, passed away on July 28, 2015 at her home. She was born Jan. 26, 1941 in Springville, Utah to Alan Vaughn and Phyllis Rae Carter Olsen. Deanna was raised in Springville where she attended school and graduated from high school. She married Dick Velt Hancock on Dec. 3, 1958 in Springville and they were later sealed in the Manti Temple. They later divorced but remained close.
Deanna enjoyed sewing and doing crafts. She made many clothes and items for her children. She worked for several years for UP&L at the power plant. Deanna loved her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchild, and extended family and friends.
She is survived by her children: Tony and Debbie Hancock of Ferron, Wade and Lori Hancock of Clawson, Bobby and Bonnie Hancock of Colorado, Monty Hancock of Ferron, and Deeann and Sam Bodily of Ferron; 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; brothers Wendell Olsen and Glenn Olsen; and sister Drena Marie Spackman.
She is preceded in death by her former husband Dick V. Hancock, and her parents.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Blue Hills Ward Chapel on Main Street in Ferron, Utah. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. in the Ferron City Cemetery. Services are entrusted to the Heritage Funeral Home.
