The girls’ cross country championship races were held on Oct. 21 at Sugarhouse Park and Highland High School for all five divisions of the UHSAA. Emery High participated in this meet.
Erin Hurst, a junior at Emery High, was the lone girl participant in the race for the Spartans and Hurst ran well as she placed fifth with a time of 20:46.0. Anna Camp, a senior at Millard High won her third straight 2-A title as she edged a runner from North Summit High with a time of 18:48.
