The Division of Wildlife Resources
cancelled its annual Bighorn Sheep Watch, which was scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 5.
The reason is that our wildlife biologists have been unable to locate bighorns along the eight mile stretch of the Green River north of the town of Green River.
We suspect that the local sheep population are on high plateaus where they can’t be accessed or observed. Our wildlife biologists will be conducting aerial surveys in the next week or two to make that determination.
