PRICE-Our loving mother, Constance Winther Voorhees, age 80, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on March 27, 2016 after an extended illness.
She was born in Salt Lake City on Feb. 16, 1936 to Joseph Hyrum Winther and Annie Virginia Curtis. Connie grew up in a very loving family with a big sister, Barbara whom she adored and a little brother, Joey, who she doted on. Her growing up years were affected by World War II when her parents moved to California so her father could work for the government. Later they moved back to Salt Lake City.
Connie married young and became the mother of six wonderful children who she ended up raising by herself working several jobs. Later Connie met the love of her life, Robert, (Bob) Charles Voorhees. They were married on July 3, 1972 and later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. Bob became a loving father to her children and she loved his children. Together Bob and Connie became parents to their sweet daughter Mandy.
No matter where Connie lived she made a house into a home where her family and friends always felt welcome and loved. Connie and Bob loved square dancing, camping, and spending time with their family. They also liked to travel and spend time with each other. Now after 15 years apart they are beginning an everlasting adventure together.
