Emery golf team wins matches at home/Carbon

The Emery High girls golf team hosted their only home match of the season at Millsite Golf Course. The girls finished in first place with a team score of 140 points, followed by Grand with 95 points, San Juan with 63 points and Manti with 55 points.
The top scorers for the Lady Spartans were Sydnee Guymon with 42 points, Taijah Price with 39, Sarah Swasey with 33 and Lainee Jensen with 26 points. The top four scores are counted for the team score.
Other players included; Sydney Timothy with 25 points and Alyssa Garrett with 24 points.
In a previous match at the Carbon County Golf Course, Emery lead the way with a score of 118. They were followed by Grand, Manti and San Juan respectively. The top scorers were Sydnee Guymon with 38, Sarah Swasey with 29, Taijah Price with 27 and Lainee Jensen with 24.
Other players included; Sydney Timothy with 23, Alyssa Garrett with 19 and Erin Oliverson with 19.
On Wednesday the girls team will travel to Midway to play the Soldier Hollow Golf Course. The Soldier Hollow Golf course will host the 2A state golf championship this year.
