"Bryan David Fox"

By By

Bryan David Fox passed away Nov. 27, 2016 in Price, Utah. He was born in Orangeville, Utah, May 29, 1933 to Bryan and Rose May Davis Fox. He never met his father, who died two months before Dave was born. What a wonderful reunion they must be having now.
Dave grew up in Orangeville. His mother had help raising him from her extended family. He learned hard work from them as they logged timber in Seeley Creek Canyon and later in Bacon Rind Canyon. Spending so much time in the mountains fostered his love of hunting and fishing, too.
Dave served four years in the US Navy aboard an oil tanker, spending most of his time in the Mediterranean. He excelled so much at his job in the boiler room that he was assigned the task of “getting under way” many times because he could fire up the boilers with very little smoke. This was appreciated by the cities at their ports of call.
Dave and Helen McElprang were married Dec. 21, 1957 in Huntington, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. They began their life together in Salt Lake City. Dave worked as a machinist. He was very good at math and could design and build almost anything. He did carpentry work to improve their four homes. He was a quiet, unassuming man and patient beyond compare. We will always miss his humor and gentle manner, and will try to follow his good examples.
Dave is survived by his wife, Helen, and their six children; Gary (Laurie) Fox, Mark (Debbie) Fox, Claudia (Tylor) Johnson, Suzanne (Dana) Kirk, Darren (Melanie) Fox, Jennifer (Glade) Sessions; 25 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and many loved nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Stella Worthen and brother Royal Fox.
A viewing will be held at the Heritage Funeral Home, 620 North Main, on Thursday evening, Dec. 1, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 2, 2016 in the Huntington Stake Center, 240 North Main, at 11 a.m. with a viewing one hour prior to the services. Family and friends may sign the guestbook and share memories of Dave at www.heritagefuneralhomeutah.com.
