Peach Days begins in Ferron

The annual Peach Days celebration started tonight in Ferron. The field of flags in the park by the church on the hill is ready for the patriotic program on Saturday morning at 7 a.m.
The Peach Days royalty presented a talent show in Mayors Park. There was a dessert contest and a bike ride.
Friday events include a dinner, team roping, vendor booths and fireworks.
Saturday begins with the Field of Flags program at 7 a.m., breakfast at the fire station at 7-8 a.m. The parade begins at 10 a.m.
There will be a soap box derby after the parade. Fun and games in the Mayors Park after the parade and the Hypno Hick will do a show. There will be a golf tournament at Millsite golf course. There will be a car show at the fire station which is a fund raiser for Braden Burke. There will be a farmers market, silent auction and raffle tickets for sale.
There are exhibits open at the city hall on Saturday. There will be vendor booths all day at the fairgrounds. The horses will race beginning at 1 p.m. There will be a cash calf and a ranch rodeo during the horse races. The demolition derby begins at 6 p.m. and the celebration will conclude with a dance following the derby.
