Allene Spadafora

GREEN RIVER – Our favorite Allene Spadafora returned to Our Father in Heaven on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017 at her home in Green River, Utah. She was born Nov. 4, 1920 in Castle Dale, Utah to George and Persey Dixon Seely. On Oct. 19, 1952 Allene said “I do” to the love of her life Tony M Spadafora in Las Vegas, Nevada, later to be sealed in the Monticello, Utah Temple on Aug. 24, 2017.
Allene was very talented at many things, she worked many different jobs. As an amazing cosmetologist she owned and operated her own salon at the Cottonwood Mall in Salt Lake City. For many years Allene and Tony were the proud owners and operators of Arbon Cafe. She also worked for the travel council for many years sharing her love for Utah, she loved to visit with all the tourists. Allene enjoyed everything she did in life to the fullest. She had a natural gift to create amazing things. Quilting, sewing, crocheting, knitting and making her grandchildren clothes. She loved to play cards and have family gatherings. She loved to read books. Her proudest accomplishment was raising her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters Lawain Hing and Doni Stewart, six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, one sister Olive Anderson and our loving, never-ending, caregiver, who we call Family, Stephanie Hales. Allene was blessed with many nieces and nephews and many very good friends that she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her husband Tony, son Gilbert, one granddaughter Skya and one great-granddaughter Taylor Rae. Also preceded in death by one brother Don Seely and four sisters Verda Frailey, Louise Sherrill, LaRue Hunt and Libby Marcum.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 at Noon at the LDS church, 95 North Clark Street, Green River, Utah. With a viewing at 10–11:45 a.m. prior to services.
