Former Emery High School and current Dixie State Trailblazer cross country student-athlete Erin Hurst has been named to the Pacific West Conference Academic All-Conference list.
Hurst is one of 11 girls on the cross country team to receive the academic recognition. In her first year of general studies Hurst managed to accumulate a 3.89 grade-point-average.
While at Emery, Hurst delivered four straight top five finishes at the state cross country championship, leading to an opportunity to run for Dixie State.
Hurst will continue her college cross country career when the Trailblazers begin the new season this fall. She is the daughter of Frank and Tara Hurst of Cleveland.
