Miss Peach Days pageant Saturday at 7 p.m.

The Peach Days Pageant will be held Saturday, Aug. 18. The pageant will begin at 7 p.m. in the Emery High School Auditorium.
Admission is $3. The pageant is directed by Anjelena Behling.
Girls running for Jr. Miss Peach Days Queen.
Courtney Behling is the daughter of Karen Behling and Brett and Anjelena Behling. Courtney is 14 years old and going into the eighth grade.
She enjoys dancing,making crafts, hula-hooping, fishing, camping, riding horses, swimming, cheering and putting on makeup. She is currently a San Rafael Cheerleader. She placed third in the SRMS Poetry Contest and Dutch Oven Dessert Cooking Contest.
She is a member of the choir and has a 3.6 GPA. Her goals in life are to attend Snow College and earn a degree in Political Science. She would like to visit Germany and eventually get married and have a family. Courtney wants to be the Jr. Miss Peach Days Queen because she enjoys doing service.
She’s lived in Ferron her whole life and loves how you can easily visit the mountains, desert, and creeks at Millsite Reservoir. She believes this is a great place to represent.
MeMarie Melo-Christensen is the daughter of Tanner and Kym Christensen. MeMarie is 13 years old and going into the eighth grade. She enjoys riding horses, singing, drawing, camping, writing, farming and spending time with family and friends.
She enjoys expressing her opinion through dance expression. In school she served on student council, and was a member of the Honor Roll, She also was Student of the Month and served as a Sports Manager. Her goals in life are to go to college, and earn a degree in business and teaching. She wants to help students succeed in life.
MeMarie wants to be Jr. Miss Peach Days Queen because she wants to help young girls and boys who are struggling with self esteem to feel more comfortable to be themselves. She wants to help girls feel more confident by accepting who they are. She hopes to make Ferron proud and believes she can do this by initiating some clean-up service projects.
Brylei Jean Allred is the granddaughter of Christy Gasser. Brylei is 13 years old and going into the eighth grade. She loves to sing, dance, play sports. She takes care of animals and hangs out with her friends. Brylei is a sweet girl and has an infectious smile.
She was a member of the San Rafael Volleyball Team. She also received an outstanding award for her singing. Her goals in life are to become a professional singer and win on the reality singing show, “The Voice”. She’d also like to attend college and become a veterinarian.
Brylei wants to be the Jr. Miss Peach Days Queen because she is proud of her community. She is honored to be part of a community that sticks together and helps people in need. She believes Emery County is a great place to live.
Lydia Price is the daughter of Bob and Doris Price. Lydia is 14 years old and going into the ninth grade. She enjoys jump rope, clogging, dancing, crafting, makeup and fashion. In fact, Lydia loves to set new trends at her school with her trendy fashion choices.
She also excels in various computer programs such as Word and PowerPoint. Lydia won second place in the Drill Down Competition at E-motion Dance Studio. She also was in a school play, and served as a teachers aide for Keyboarding. Her goals in life are to attend a four year college and earn a degree in Interior Design.
She would like to travel and be involved in charity work. Eventually she wants to marry and raise a family. Lydia wants to be the Jr. Miss Peach Days Queen because she would like to see more beautification on Main Street Ferron to welcome visitors and more businesses into the area.
Faryn Hulse is the daughter of Wayne and Rexanne Huntsman, and Delbert Hulse. Faryn is 14 years old and going into the ninth grade. She has a passion for writing essays, poetry, books, and short stories.
She is a naturally happy person who loves to laugh. Children adore her, and she is the queen of babysitting. When she’s not holding a child, she’s holding a spatula. Her favorite pastimes are cooking and baking. She enjoys serving the community, especially on Youth City Council.
She enjoys ripsticking, four wheeler riding, swimming, and theater. She plays piano and clarinet, and she loves to sing. She is a straight-A student and served as Secretary of the Honor Society. She was the eighth-grade Spelling Bee Champion and has maintained great citizenship throughout her schooling. Faryn intends to serve a full-time LDS mission, marry a great guy, go to college, work in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and become a mother of six. She would love to be Miss Peach Days Queen because she has faced many hardships in her life, and winning this title would not only show her but other girls, that they can do whatever they put their minds to no matter what they’re going through.
Tylee Jensen is the daughter of Steven and Sierra Jensen. Tylee is 14 years old and going into the ninth grade. She enjoys gymnastics, dancing, singing, being in pageants, camping, and four-wheeling. Tylee is a fun girl who enjoys being around her friends. In Honor Choir this year she earned a minus superior rating in Solo Ensemble.
She was in honors math and made the Honor Roll. Some of her future goals are to graduate from high school with High Honors, attend college and earn a degree in Physical Therapy. She eventually wants to start her own family. Tylee wants to become Jr. Miss Peach Days Queen because she would like to be an example for her community and make it better in any way possible. She would like to assist the community in reaching its goals.
Girls running for Miss Peach Days Queen
Dallas Harris is the daughter of Richard and Jennifer Harris. Dallas is 15 years old and going into the 10th grade. She loves to race Motocross and work on dirt bikes with her brother. Her race number is 214 because she was born on Valentine’s Day. She also loves to dance. Dallas won first place in Group Competition at Lagoon for a hip-hop and lyrical dance routine. Every night she dances with her three year old niece and two year old nephew, to help calm them down and get them ready for bed.
Some of her goals in life are to go to college and earn a degree in Law and Cosmetology. She wants to marry her soulmate and adopt three children. She will also continue Motocross racing and she hopes to eventually qualify for Loretta Lynns. Dallas wants to become Sr. Miss Peach Days Queen because she is proud to be born and raised in Ferron. She loves the values she has learned growing up in this community. She wants to show the rest of the world her appreciation for what she has been given and taught by growing up in Emery County.
Kendra Shore is the daughter of Jenny Shore. She is 18 years old and will be attending her freshman year at Utah State University. Kendra loves watching movies, being artistic, reading, swimming, and baking. She enjoys working with children and sharing her enthusiasm. She has sympathy for injured and homeless animals and recently adopted a kitten that was previously hit by a car.
Kendra has participated in FFA, swimming, and joined a club called Gear Up, in which she received a scholarship for college. Kendra has also earned her Young Women’s Medallion. Her goals in life are to attend college and earn a Bachelor Degree in Special Education. She would eventually like to get married and have a small family. She wants to become Sr. Miss Peach Days Queen because she believes her enthusiasm and personality would be a great quality to encourage other people to put themselves out there, and not be afraid to be who they are.
It would also help to encourage her friends and family to have the courage to take steps in improving their lives.
Kelsey Hulse is the daughter of Delbert Hulse and Wayne and Rexanne Huntsman. Kelsey is 16 years old and going into the 11th grade. She loves animals, training dogs, and flirting.
She has a passion for organizing, cleaning, and interior designing. She enjoys writing short stories, photography, and playing the piano and flute. She loves farming and doing makeup, and whether she is in heels or muck boots she looks like a bomb.
She is a four-year Honor Roll Student. She previously took interior design and floriculture where she learned two new hobbies that she loves. At State Theater she received the highest rating of straight superiors.
She participated in Student Council and Writers Club. Her goals in life are to stop burning the food she cooks, serve a mission for the LDS church, become a model, start her own photography business, travel the world, and eventually pet a penguin. One day she wants to marry a man who will be her best friend and love of her life. She dreams of adopting two kids from Africa. Kelsey wants to be Senior Miss Peach Days Queen because the queen is someone that little girls look to as a role model, and she would like to be that role model.
Tia Hulse is the daughter of Delbert Hulse and Wayne and Rexanne Huntsman. She is 17 years old and going into the 12th grade.
She enjoys public speaking, studying history, driving a tractor, being a percussionist, acting, playing and teaching the piano, baking, and cosmetology. While attending Girl’s State, she earned a $14,000 scholarship to Weber State University. She has a 4.0 GPA, and is on the Honor Roll and in the National Honor Society. She is in Reader’s Club, Student Council, FFA, and Emery High Musical Theater. She also served on the 2018 Junior Prom Committee. She is CPR certified.
Her goals in life are to graduate high school with a 4.0 GPA then serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She plans to attend college and become a high school history teacher.
She has a desire to start her own business in cosmetology or in the culinary arts. She aspires to become a wife and mother, and someday, she hopes to become a morning person. Tia would like to become Miss Peach Day’s Queen because as a visible representative of her community she would be able to show by example that serving others can by fun as well as meaningful.
Breann Chamberlain is the daughter of Mark and Stephanie Chamberlain. She is 17 years old and going into the 12th grade. She enjoys barrel racing, rodeo and training horses.
She loves hunting and shooting guns, rock climbing and hiking, drawing, singing and playing pranks on others.
She’s interested in veterinary medicine and the military. She especially loves flying in planes when her grandpa allows her to take the controls.
She was a member of the Emery High Tennis Team, FFA, and Honors English She was awarded a one rating for her Solo and Ensemble. She even sold an art piece to a Utah State Senator. She was a 2D Barrel Racing Champion, and a 3D Reserve Barrel Racing Champion. Her goals in life are to graduate early from high school and get her pro card in rodeo and also become a certified Equine Veterinarian.
She wants to serve six years in the Air Force, compete in the Pendelton Round Up Rodeo, win a rodeo belt buckle, own her own ranch and have a family. Breann wants to become Sr. Miss Peach Days Queen because she’d like to give back to the community. She’d love to sing the National Anthem during Peach Days to show her love for her country. Many people have supported her and her dreams in the community and she wants to return the love and support.
