Nancy Ruth Christiansen Parry

Nancy Ruth Christiansen Parry, our beloved wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sept. 1, 2018, after courageously battling Alzheimer’s for more than a decade. She was known as the kindest, sweetest, most devoted person.
Nancy was born on Nov. 15, 1947 in Price, Utah as the oldest child of nine, to Merlin and Jean Christiansen. She was raised on a dairy farm in Emery, Utah where she learned the benefit of hard work and dedication. In 1965, she married Robert (Bobby) Jolley and gave birth to their son Brent R Jolley. Bobby tragically passed away the following year, from injuries sustained in a construction accident. Her strength, courage, and resilient spirit allowed her, as a young widow, to persevere and build a life for her and her young son.
In 1973, she met Thomas L. Parry. They married and lived in Salt Lake City, Utah where they built a very caring relationship that was based on love and support. Together, they welcomed a son, Michael Gene. They loved camping, boating at Lake Powell with friends and family and just spending time together.
Nancy was devoted to her family and the gospel. She was always there when anyone needed her. She was strong and caring up until the moment she passed.
Nancy is survived by her loving family. Husband, Tom; Children; Brent Jolley, Michael (Katie) Parry, Kris Parry, Kim (Cindy) Parry, Valerie (Brad) Hansen, and Cheryl Conlon. Siblings; René (David) Dalley, Scott (Karelyn) Christiansen, Glenys (Lannie) Sitterud, Ken (Earlene) Christiansen, Karla (Kerry) Powell, Marie (Louis) VanderHerp and Becky (Jed) Allred. 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother John Christiansen, and stepson Scott Parry.
