Edward F. Peterson
“Gone Fishin”
BOUNTIFUL-Edward Forrest Peterson, age 68, passed away Tues., Nov. 7, 2006 at home after a year long battle with lung cancer.
Born July 20, 1938 in Castle Dale, Utah to Forrest and Mary Jewkes Peterson. Attended school in Castle Dale and graduated from South Emery High School in 1956. Served in Germany in the U S Army 1956-1958. Married Erma Peterson, Nov. 1, 1958. Worked for Jake’s Glass for 35 years and retired from Sisam Glass.
He was an avid hunter and fly fisherman. Many thanks to his fishing buddies who always had time for a phone call, a visit or a good fishing story. Ed and Erma toured all of the United States in their motor home.
Survived by his wife, Erma Peterson, Bountiful; daughters: Deb Peterson, Salt Lake City; Diane (Brad) Julian, Syracuse; and special granddaughter, Ashlee, Bountiful; brothers: Rich (Dixie), Bountiful; Ronald (Kathy), Brigham City; and sister, Charlane (Kean) Luke, Orangeville. Preceded in death by parents, three sons, Jeffery, Brent and Bryan and grandson, Christopher Julian.
The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. Regina Klein, Nancy and all the staff at Utah Cancer Center.
Funeral services were held Sat., Nov. 11, 2006 at 10 a.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main. Friends and family called Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday morning 9-9:45 a.m. prior to services. Graveside service at 3 p.m. at the Emery Cemetery. Shirley Lena Jorgensen Christensen
1932-2006
Shirley Lena Jorgensen Christensen, 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Nov. 12, 2006 in Delta Utah. Shirley was born June 22, 1932 in Castle Dale, Utah to James Lester and Adela Seely Jorgensen.
She was married and sealed to Archie P. Christensen of Flowell, Utah, Aug. 2, 1974 in the Provo LDS temple. She spent all of her childhood in Castle Dale and had countless fond memories of her family and friends.
She graduated from BYU in 1962 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and spent many years teaching elementary school. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, aunt, and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and especially spending time with family.
Shirley was an active member of the LDS church and fulfilled many callings.
She is survived by her husband Archie, daughter Nancy Limburg (Paul), stepdaughter Kathy Davidson (Richard), stepsons Kevin Christensen (Marlene), Lester Christensen, Eldon Christensen (Barbara), Ken Christensen (Sarena), 31 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers Theron Don Jorgensen (Mary Ann G.), Gale Jorgensen (Mary Anne J.), and Ray Jorgensen (Carolyn). Preceded in death by her parents, brothers John Jorgensen and Joseph Jorgensen, and granddaughter Jennifer Davidson.
Funeral services will be held Sat. Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. in the Flowell ward chapel 500 North 4200 West. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 9:30-10:30 am. Interment will be in the Fillmore City Cemetery. Special thanks to the Millard County Care Center for their loving care.
