Lori Ann Prince is a career agent and commercial specialist for Farm Bureau Financial Services. Her office is located on Main Street in Huntington next to the Emery School District Offices. She has been an agent for seven years and has really enjoyed working with the people of Emery, Carbon and Grand counties.
Lori is licensed to sell all forms of insurance including securities, life, annuities, commercial, long term care, health, disability, home and auto. She can help you roll over 401-Ks to your own annuity, help you set up a Roth IRA or discuss with you ideas for college funding, retirement and business succession planning.
Lori received her LUTCF designation (life underwriting training fellowship) in 2004, and is continually pursuing more training and skills.
Lori’s competent, friendly staff consists of two marketing assistants, Earlene Mason from Huntington and Chris Manning from Orangeville.
Lori was born and raised in Montana and moved to the area in 1996 when her husband Steven was hired to be the operations manager for River Gas Corp. They are the parents of six children and have six grandchildren with two on the way. Their oldest son is currently serving a mission in Fortaleza, Brazil and their second son leaves for a mission to Kennewick, Wash. the end of November. Lori loves acting and is currently in CVCT’s production of Godspell.

Service Discounts and Deals

Tina has always liked a challenge. Service’s Discount-n-Deals opened June 25, 2004 to accommodate her husband’s love of buying storage auctions. The growing inventory lead to six months of moving and opening the thrift/antique store, now known as “The Friday Store”. Tina has also expanded the business to include selling items on E-bay under “Service Trading Post”. The business has grown and now offers a wide variety of items from new to used furniture, electronics, toys, glassware, books, saddles, etc. She and her husband are always looking for ways to expand and help people get the items they need for the “best deal” they can offer. If you haven’t visited on Friday, come and visit our store from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Castle Dale. We would love to see you.

Wilcox Wireless

Laura Wilcox of Wilcox Wireless Connections opened her doors in June of 2003 and is still selling cell phones and accessories.
Laura is very excited about her new rate plans and company, Alltel, the largest wireless network in the country, formerly known as Cellular One.
She is very committed and diligent to find the right plan to meet each of the clients needs. Customer service is something she doesn’t take lightly. She wants each customer to feel knowledgeable about their plans and their new phones. Drop in and see what she has to offer. Video Spectrum

Hi, my name is Debbie Murray. I took over Video Spectrum in January of 2004. It is a family run business. I like the fact that the kids can come to work with me and help me run the store. It’s a great learning experience for the kids. It’s definitely not without challenges.
I have five kids, David, Travis, Shaydee, Whitney and Kaydree. I am married to Bill. I have enjoyed getting to know people and making great friends here in Emery County.
We have a monthly drawing. We try to give away great prizes, keep the store fun and exciting. We carry new releases, video games, hard to find oldies from westerns to comedies, action and thrillers.

Christy’s Salon Sensations

Christy Collard opened her beauty/barber shop on July 21, 1992 with the dream of giving service with a smile.
This year is a very exciting one at the salon. Christy’s daughter, Katie Brady has completed her education and come home to work the salon with her. Katie graduated 2003 from Emery High School, received an Associates of Business in 2005 from the College of Eastern Utah. She graduated from Evans Hairstyling College in Cedar City in May. She married Lance Brady from Elmo in August.
Katie brings a super breath of fresh air to the salon and Emery County. Her skills are many, offering services from pedicures, nails, color, haircutting and curling to hair extensions. She definitely gives service with a smile.
My business has allowed me to keep my family life and be involved with my husband and children and also work with the great people of Emery County. I hope the public will keep their Salon Services at home, with Katie on our team. If you need time and accommodations, all you have to do is ask, we will be happy to work with you.
The people have allowed me to share in their personal lives and I appreciate my super clientele family for the last 16 years of success and hope to continue to grow and serve for many more years to come.

Curves

My name is Cathy Sitterud. I have had the privilege of working with women since 1972. After moving to Castle Dale in 1984 with the help of my husband Randy, I opened my hair salon in 1985, I have met so many great families through the years, I thank them for support. For the past nine years I have been able to work with some very special women through the American Cancer Society serving as the unit President and volunteering for the “Look Good Feel Better” program. A service provided to women undergoing chemotherapy/radiation treatments. The program offers free wigs, make-up and family support. I have been involved in the American Cancer Societies “Relay for Life,” organizing our first relay in 1998. What a terrific organization.
In June 2005, my sister and my niece, Tricia Atwood and Amber Pruitt, opened a “Curves” franchise in Castle Dale and asked me if I would manage it for them. Curves is a place where women go and feel comfortable about exercising and share in “girl talk” with other members and our friendly staff. Again, I have met so many wonderful women and have made many new friends. I’m excited that I have had the opportunity to help women look and feel better about themselves. Emery County has been supportive of both of these businesses, you are so appreciated. We couldn’t do it without you, thanks so much.

Pat’s Sew N’ Stuff

Hi, my name is Pat Behling; I am the owner of Pat’s Sew N’ Stuff in Ferron. It all began in the early spring of 1988; I couldn’t even buy a spool of thread in town, so I decided to open a store. It was very small but I had all the basics to sew with. I just kept adding to the inventory as the years went by and today I have a great inventory for my customers.
I know that I have made many mistakes while learning to run a business. I still make mistakes but I enjoy working with and serving the public.
I would like to thank my employees and all my faithful customers who have supported me through these 18 1/2 years. You are all great people. I’ve seen many changes in the industry. When I started nearly all the fabrics were blends and today they are 100 percent cotton. The cottons of today are not the same as when I grew up, they are more wrinkle free than they used to be. They also have a wonderful color range today that wasn’t there 20 or so years ago. Also there are so many gadgets out there to make sewing and quilting easier than ever before.
I have truly enjoyed seeing all the changes that have come about over the years, but I have especially enjoyed working with all of you; my great customers and friends. We hope we will be able to serve all of you for many more years to come.
