Wrestling sign-ups
Junior Spartan wrestling sign-ups for Huntington will be on Feb. 22 from 4-5:30 p.m. at the main entrance of Canyon View Junior High. Contact your wrestling representative for sign-ups in your area. For Huntington call Ferd Allred at 687-2370.
Miss Emery contestants
The Miss Emery scholarship pageant will be held on July 14 at 7 p.m.
Contestants must be 17 years of age by Sept. 1 to be in the pageant. Most juniors qualify.
Anyone wishing to sign-up to compete in this scholarship pageant are encouraged to contact Jerilyn Spears, pageant director at 381-5667 or 381-2239 or call the Emery County Progress at 381-2431. Competition includes talent, interview, swimwear, on-stage question and evening gown.
Scholarships for the pageant winner are queen, $1,200, first attendant, $700, second attendant, $500.
EMT class
The EMT basic class will start on March 6 at the Castle Dale Elementary, from 5-10 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays through May 10. The class will include two Saturdays during that period. Contact Sgt. Martin Wilson at 381-2404 to sign-up.
Daffodil days
Daffodil orders will be taken through Feb. 26. Contact Cathy Sitterud at 381-5647. They are $10 a bunch or three bunches for $25. Funds raised go to the American Cancer Society.
Emery girls
The Lady Spartans will play Hurricane at 5:50 p.m. on Thursday at the Burns Arena in St. George.
The Lady Dinos will play the game immediately following the Lady Spartans against Canyon View at 7: 30 p.m.
