Book Cliff Elementary’s mascot has a new home. They are the Book Cliff Bears, and B.C. is their mascot. B.C. was harvested with a depredation tag by Doug Johnson of Orangeville. He had the bear mounted at Black Timber Taxidermy, by Yory Allred of Castle Dale. B.C. just didn’t look right sitting in the case with white walls, so Green River Artist Jo Baxter was brought in. She did a wonderful job painting the scene where B.C. was a nuisance. She also made the papermache’ watermelons. While she was working on the painting, the case was covered with paper and a sign was posted that B.C. had gone on vacation. Last Thursday, Doug and Jo were on hand to help the student council unveil the extreme make over of B.C.’s case.
