Best Tech Auto is now open in Orangeville. Jason Mills of Orangeville is the owner and operator of the new business. Mills has been a mechanic for about seven years, but all who know him, know that Mills has been basically doing it his whole life.
Best Tech Auto is a full line auto repair, detailing and maintenance shop. They also can order parts on all makes and models, including tires. Mills stands by his business and guarantees he can beat anyone’s price by 10 percent.

Sgt. Mitch Vetere adds totals for his shopper. Wal-Mart donates shopping money each year for Emery County youth. The youth are nominated by teachers for the experience of shopping with a cop. Wal-Mart is happy to participate in this community event each year.

The American Legion unit #73 recently celebrated Christmas with a party for all members and their families.
They held a dinner and a gift exchange and also a prize drawing.
The American Legion participates in activities that keeps the appreciation of Veterans alive and well in the county.
Throughout the coming year they have many activities planned including Memorial Day observances at the local cemeteries.
Washington D.C.-Congressman Jim Matheson today voted for the Fair Minimum Wage Act (HR 2) that would raise the current federal minimum wage from $5.15 to $7.25 per hour, over two years.
Matheson said that according to a recent study by the University of Utah’s Center for Public Policy and Administration, that would mean a raise for about 170,000 Utahns, or 17 percent of the state’s work force. A minimum wage worker in Utah earns, on average, $893 per month, according to that report. If the federal legislation becomes law, the same person would earn $1,213 per month.
“It’s been nearly 10 years since the minimum wage increased. Many states have already established a minimum wage at or more than $7 an hour. I do have concerns about difficulties this may pose for some small businesses, but it appears the Senate version will include provisions needed by some employers,” said Matheson.
