Randy was raised on a cattle ranch in Montana, got his bachelor of science from Montana State University, and his PHD from Utah State University. 9:30-10:30 a.m. Fields of Dreams – How to Profit from small fruit and vegetable production. Dan Drost is the presenter, he grew up on a small diversified farm in western Michigan. He graduated from Michigan State University with a BS in Agricultural Education and a Master Degree in Horticulture. His PhD was earned in 1991 from Cornell University in Vegetable Crops and Plant Physiology. He has taught horticulture in New Zealand and presently works for Utah State University.
10:45-11:45 a.m. Bee A Beekeeper-Neil Shelly, presenter, has been a hobbyist beekeeper since 2004 running 10 hives now, and possibly 15 this year. He is President of the Utah County Beekeepers Association (2006-2007), and Secretary of the Utah Beekeepers Association (2007). Wild Attitude! Apiaries was created in 2004 as a hobbyist business, offering honey, wax products, and beekeeping services.
