Valerie Seely James
ADAMS, ORE.-Valerie Seely James, age 42, passed away at her home in Adams (near Pendleton), Ore., on Sept. 24, 2007, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.
Valerie was born March 23, 1965 in Price, Utah, the eldest child of Montell and Kathryn Pincock Seely of Castle Dale. She attended Emery County schools and graduated from Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. She attended Brigham Young University, and served a mission (1986-87) in Curitiba, Brazil.
She worked for a time in the Missionary Department at the Church Office Building in Salt Lake City.
Valerie married Brant H. James Feb. 25, 1989 in the Manti Temple. They have three precious children. Valerie was a water aerobics instructor and an advocate for home school associations. She enjoyed home school with her children.
She was active in public affairs for the Stakes in which she lived. She loved her callings in Primary and Relief Society. She had been a member of the Library Board and newsletter editor for the city of Adams.
Her hobbies included music, reading, writing, cooking, family history, and pioneer heritage.
Valerie will be remembered for her positive, uplifting nature. Full of hope and optimism, she faced her own adversities and brought cheer to her associates.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Monette Seely. She is survived by her husband Brant, sons Brandon and Ryan, and daughter Emilie, all of Adams; her parents and sister LeAnne Seely of Castle Dale, sisters, Karla (Thane) Thalman of Phoenix, Ariz., Fawn (Tim) Miller, Manti, Utah, Janell (Kyle) Beagley, Price, Utah, and brother Mark (Brenda) Seely, West Valley, Utah. Funeral services were held Fri., Sept. 28, at 1 p.m., at the Pendleton First Ward, 12th and Gilliam. Interment, Olney Cemetery, Pendleton.
June Tidwell
CASTLE DALE- Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, June Marie Tidwell, age 50, passed away Sept. 23, 2007 in Provo.
She was born June 17, 1957 in Castle Dale to Dean A. and LeNile May Timothy Jensen.
Married Dick Tidwell, later divorced.
June loved and lived for her children. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and fishing.
She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. We love you “June Bug”.
Survived by her loving children, Travis Jensen, Castle Dale; Mistie (Tyler) Swearingen, Orem; Dustin, Cory, Casey, Chad Tidwell, all of Price; six grandchildren, Malisha, McKenzie, Patience, Christian, Melissa, Tasha; brothers and sisters, Sally Jensen; Dennis (Karen) Jensen, Irene Draney, Gary (Tammy) Jensen, Kenneth (Ute) Jensen, Janet (Russ) Forsythe, Steven and Vance Jensen.
Preceded in death by her parents; nephews, JR Draney, Anthony Jensen, Evan Palmer, and Levi Blye Johnson; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial service was held on Sat. Sept. 29, 2007, 5 p.m. Mitchell Funeral Home. Family was at Mitchell’s one hour prior to service.
Guy Adams
PRICE- Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Guy Adams, age 82, passed away peacefully Sept. 25, 2007 at his home in Price.
He was born July 1, 1925 in Columbia to Gust and Philomena Curcione Adams.
Married Virginia Telaroli on Sept. 26, 1953 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Helper.
Guy joined the Marines in 1942 and honorably served his country during WWII. He received the Purple Heart for his injuries sustained in battle. He was a member of the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church and a lifelong resident of Carbon County.
Guy was an outstanding police officer and worked in the county for 34 years, and also drove school bus part time for 30 years. He was an amazing athlete and was quite accomplished in many sports. He continued his passion for physical fitness throughout his life by participating in the Utah Summer Olympic games in cycling and took home numerous medals, one gold, one silver, and three bronze.
Guy was a member of the Marine Corp. League; Price American Legion Post #3, and the V.F.W Miners Post #2379. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Survived by his wife, Virginia Adams, Price; children, Mike (Rose) Adams, Helper; Greg Adams, Price; Guy (Jacilyn) Adams, Spring Glen; sisters, Ann and Martha Adams; three grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents; son Tony Adams.
Funeral Mass, Sat., Sept. 29, 2007, 10 a.m. Notre Dame Catholic Church.
Vigil service was Friday evening 7 p.m. Mitchell Funeral Home. Family was at Mitchell’s Friday and Saturday one hour prior to service. Interment, Price City Cemetery.

Hugh Saccomanno
SPRING GLEN-Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, Hugh Saccomanno, age 93, passed away Sept. 27, 2007 in Price.
He was born Dec. 26, 1913 in Spring Glen, Utah to Frank M. and Marianna Caruso Saccomanno.
Married Katherine Rebol, June 14, 1937 in Price.
Hugh was a lifetime resident of Spring Glen. He had a great passion for his farm and remained dedicated to its work his entire life. He was a coal miner at Royal and Kenilworth for 23 years and retired from the Carbon County School District in 1975 with 19 years of service. He enjoyed working on his farm and he was a talented rock mason. Hugh loved visiting with his family and telling stories about his life experiences. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survived by his wife, Katherine; three children, Katherine (Boyd) Anderson, Spring Glen, Hugh Jr. (Delores), Helper, Bill (Connie), Salt Lake City; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and his little buddy “Muffie”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Charlie, Ernest, Melvin, Pete and Geno; sisters, Carmella and Roseanna.
Graveside service, Sat., Sept. 29, 2007, 2 p.m., Mountain View Cemetery in Helper. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home.
Lynn Kenney
PRICE-Our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, Donna Lynn Kenney, age 59, returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on Sept. 27, 2007 at the home of her mother in Price.
She was born May 17, 1948 in Price, Utah to Curtis Jack and Lois Axelsen Abrams.
Lynn loved spending time with her granddaughter and going to Build-A-Bear. She also enjoyed reading and watching movies. She shared a deep compassion for her family and friends, and especially her dogs. She will be dearly missed by her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelli Wright, granddaughter, Jaclyn Wright, both of Salt Lake City; mother, Lois Abrams, Price; brother, Brett (Jana) Abrams, Price; and sister, Jackie Abrams, Huntington.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Abrams.
Funeral service, Wed., Oct. 3, 2007, 11 a.m., Price North LDS Stake Center. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the Stake Center Wednesday one hour prior to service. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
Keith T. Randall
CLEVELAND- Keith T. Randall, 49, passed away Sept. 27, 2007 in Price, Utah. He was born Nov. 25,1957 in Price, Utah to Harvey Lee and Beatrice Waterman Randall. He married Tracy Fillmore April 28, 1979 in Price, Utah.
He was raised in Carbon County and moved to Cleveland in 1990. Keith worked for Cleveland City for many years. He was a volunteer fireman in Cleveland for 15 years. Keith was the family mechanic always helping others with their automobiles.
His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He loved pot-gut hunting, 4-wheeling, and his special dog Paco. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his wife Tracy; daughters Amber Randall, Grand Junction, Colo.; Cassie Randall, Price; daughter-in-law, Brandy (Josh) Wagner, Huntington; granddaughters, Bailey and Chloe; sisters, Barbara (Calvin) Andreen, Virginia (Reese) Evans, Denise (Mike) Seevers, all of Price. Preceded in death by his parents, a brother Harvey A. Randall, and son Keith Alan Randall.
Funeral services were held Mon. Oct. 1, 2007 at the Cleveland LDS Second Ward Chapel. Interment was held at the Cleveland City Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
Ty N. Moosman
WELLINGTON-Our loving son, grandson, baby brother, uncle, nephew, and “Super Stud”, Ty N. Moosman, age 21, was taken from us on Sept. 28, 2007 in Price.
He was born July 6, 1986 in Price to Max and Kimberly Ann Williams Moosman.
Ty was engaged to the love of his life, Felicia Dawn Gentry and they were to be married on Nov. 3, 2007.
Ty graduated from Carbon High School in 2004 and was currently employed at DT & E as a loader operator. He loved spending time with his family, friends and his fiance. He enjoyed riding bulls, camping, fishing, hunting and riding horses on the mountain. He also enjoyed going out on his boat, playing in the water, snowboarding, and riding his dirt bikes and 4-wheelers with his friends.
Ty was loved by all the little kids and he enjoyed their company. His smile, joking personality, and laugh will be missed by everyone who loved and knew him.
Survived by his parents, Max and Kim Moosman, Miller Creek; fiance, Felicia Gentry, Price; grandparents, Beth Moosman, Wellington, Bill and Betty Williams, Miller Creek; sisters, Jeanne Moosman, Miller Creek, Stephanie (Steven) Melo, Altamont, Lynn (Blaine) Wilkerson, Duchesne; brother, Joey (Cordie) Moosman, Wellington; special brother, Ricky Olsen, Wellington; sister-in-law, Gillian Wandell, Cleveland; nephews, Kache, Miles, and Brock Moosman, Stephen and Gus Melo; special nephew, Kaden Olsen; nieces, Shaliesha, Kiesha, Tialynne Moosman, Kaitlyn Phillips, and Kaycey Melo; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Neldon A. Cox
Our father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Neldon A. Cox passed away on Sept. 26, 2007. His family was blessed and honored to be at his side to bid him farewell on the last of his many journeys.
Neldon was born Nov. 2, 1936 in Orangeville, Utah to Elmer Lewis and Alta Day Cox. He had many talents and trades. In his life he served in the US Navy for four years, and obtained a degree in electronics and television. He also loved being a truck driver and co-owner of a trucking company, owned and operated a service station, worked construction, and later managed a mobile home park.
Neldon was a master at masonry and carpentry and has passed these talents on to his sons. Neldon was a member of The Emery County Sheriff’s Jeep Posse/Search and Rescue. Many will remember him as a country music singer and guitar player.
Family and friends have fond memories of camping, fishing, hunting, 4-wheeling, and too many adventures to mention. Neldon loved the outdoors, the desert, and Joe’s Valley.
Neldon had a passion for country music and was a gifted vocalist and guitar player. He organized a band called the Blue Notes. The Blue Notes played at various places including the Cowboy club, the Elks Club, and the Hunter’s Ball. The band played together for many years. Great music and lifetime friendships have remained an important part of his life.
He married Claudia Alice Justesen, later divorced. Survived by their four children and their spouses: Dennis and Debra Cox, Cedar City; Trina and Jason Branson, Orangeville; Doug Cox, Green River, Wyo.; and Dave and Liz Cox, Vernal. Neldon was also married to Sherry Mendenhall Cox. Sherry has remained his closest friend and wishes to express her love in their special way, “I love you the mostest.”
Neldon is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Verna Hoops Corbett, LaDean Allred, and Dale Cox.
The family held a graveside service on Sat. Sept. 29, 2007 at 1 p.m. in the Orangeville Cemetery.
