Jennifer O’Neil Benefit

Castle Dale City Summer Celebration
Will be held on July 21 at the Castle Dale rodeo grounds. Games, relay races, geeser golf, mechanical calf roping, inflatable games and more will run from 3-5 p.m. Barbecue for a buck from 5-7. Kids rodeo from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Fireworks at dusk. To ensure your child is able to participate in the rodeo, pre-register at the Castle Dale City Hall. Sign up time is from 3-4 p.m. on July 21 at the rodeo grounds.
Castle Valley Lamb Fry
Castle Valley Lamb Fry will be held on Aug. 2-4 and Aug. 7-11 from 5-8 p.m. at the Emery County Fairgrounds. For more information call 381-2108.
Life Line Pregnancy Center
Life Choices and Sexuality an abstinence based sex education class for teens will be held on July 23-27 at the Notre Dame Church basement at 2 p.m. Target ages are 13-14 year olds but younger and older youth are also welcome along will parents. Soldiers Addresses Needed
American Legion Auxiliary #42 of Ferron is looking for addresses from people of Emery County that have loved ones proudly serving our country in a war zone such as Iraq or Afghanistan. We have a program started three years ago called Operation Home Support which we send packages to soldiers, but we need help from Emery County residents with the names and addresses of your loved ones that are serving. They need a package from Operation Home Support to let them know they aren’t forgotten and that we care and support them. Local Veterans Employment Representative
A local veterans employment representative visits the Castle Dale DWS Office the first Wednesday of each month. CASA Volunteers Needed
Each year hundreds of children in Emery and Carbon counties become wards of the juvenile court system due to child abuse, neglect or abandonment. The child welfare system can only devote so much time and attention to each individual case and, consequently, to each individual child. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Volunteers are ordinary men and women who find it in their hearts and their schedules to help these abused and neglected children. Angels Have Wheels
All Medicare recipients should now be aware that if they suffer from conditions such as arthritis, cardiovascular disease, and respiratory disorders, and have difficulty walking or propelling a standard wheelchair, they maybe eligible to receive an electric wheelchair paid for by Medicare.
