Bruce and Sherrie McMullin have always loved living in Cleveland. Bruce is a home town boy and Sherrie has lived in Cleveland since their marriage in 1978. Bruce is the son of Hazel and the late Lee McMullin of Cleveland, and Sherrie is the daughter of Max and Claudette Peterson of Redmond, and the late Jerry Payne of Salina.
Small town life was the perfect setting for Bruce and Sherrie to raise their family of four which included Haylee (Steve) Thomas, Kortney, Bryant (Keira), and Bowdy. The newest sparkles in the bunch are grandchildren Paige and Londyn Thomas, and Grandpa and Grandma find every opportunity to bring them from the city to the country to expose them to the good life.
Bruce has devoted his time owning and operating Country Corner store in Cleveland for 30 years. He has loved serving the good people of Cleveland and Elmo and the surrounding area and has appreciated their friendship and support.
Bruce loves farming and has raised pigs, often selling to the youth for the Southeastern Utah Junior Livestock Show. He has been an active part of the stock show committee for many years, with 10 years as head of the swine department.
Sherrie has divided her time between family, church and teaching school. Children are the love of her life, whether they are her own or someone else’s. She enjoys learning and growing right along with them. She also enjoys reading, scrapbooking, gardening and rock hunting.
Bruce and Sherrie both enjoy being involved in community and church activities. They thank God everyday for the freedom to live in this area they love.
