Truck and Trailer Wash
The Emery County Horse 4-H Clubs are sponsoring a truck and trailer wash at the south end of the rodeo grounds in Castle Dale on July 27 beginning at 10 a.m. Bring your cars, trucks, trailers or other vehicles and support the Emery County Horse 4-H youth.
Peach Days Queen Pageant
All young ladies from Ferron, Clawson or Emery who will be starting the seventh grade through 24 years of age who are interested in entering the Junior Miss Peach Days and Miss Peach Days Pageant for 2007 can pick up the forms from Ferron City Hall. Desertview ProRodeo seating
Due to sell out crowds at the rodeo each night, seats can no longer be saved after 7 p.m. Blankets must be taken with you each night. Rodeo will be held July 26, 27, 28 at the Castle Dale Rodeo Arena.
Ricochet Concert Seating
The Emery County free concert featuring Ricochet will be Aug. 4 beginning at 7:30 p.m. No areas can be roped off to save seats. You can put out lawn chairs and blankets before the concert.
Canyon View Registration
Registration at Canyon View Junior High School for the 2007-08 school year will be held as follows: Aug. 7, 9 a.m.-noon for ninth graders, and 1-4 p.m. for eighth graders; and Aug. 8, from 8:30 a.m.-noon for seventh graders. The seventh grade registration includes an orientation for students and parents. The orientation will be held at 9 a.m. and repeated at 11 a.m. Parents who are registering more than one child and for different grades may choose the most convenient time from those listed. Registration packets will be mailed prior to registration. If you do not receive a packet, contact the school.
Emery County’s Got Talent
Emery Idol is now known as Emery County’s Got Talent. Do you have a unique talent? Come and share it at the Emery County Fair Aug. 2 from 4-6 p.m. at the Fair Grounds. This is for ages 12 and up. Arts in the Park
Ferron City presents Arts in the Park, featuring music by Roger Barton and Kaitlen Reaves on July 27 at 7 p.m. The program will be held in Mayors Park. Admission is free, bring your blankets and lawn chairs and come out and enjoy an evening of music.
Dinner and Western Show
The Bar G Wranglers will perform at the 777 ranch in Ferron on Aug. 17-18. A chuckwagon dinner is at 6 p.m. with the show beginning at 7 p.m. Costs are $20 a person for ages 10 and up and ages 3-9 are $10.

EHS Volleyball Tryouts
Emery High School volleyball tryouts will start Aug. 7. This tryout is mandatory. Warm-ups will be from 7-9 a.m. on Aug. 7 in the Spartan Center, with tryouts on Aug. 8-10 at the Spartan Center from 7-9 a.m. Girls from ninth-12th grades are encouraged to try out.
Jennifer O’Neil Benefit
Mikiala and Jerra O’Neil and the employees of Smith’s are selling raffle tickets for a dollar to help cover the cost of their mother, Jennifer’s medical expenses.
