Huntington City Dog Licenses
Huntington City 2008 dog licenses are now due. Proof of current rabies vaccination must be presented before license may be purchased at the Huntington City Hall or at the rabies clinic which will be held at the Huntington City Fire Station on Feb. 23 from 9:30 a.m.-noon.
Food Handler’s Classes
There will be food handler’s classes for all persons working in restaurants, bars, nursing home, school cafeterias, convenience stores or deli’s. Classes will be taught in Castle Dale on Feb. 21 and March 27 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Health Department located at 25 West Main, Castle Dale. The Emery County Fair is now accepting applications for food and general vendors for the Emery County Fair which will be held on July 30, 31, Aug 1 and 2. To be an exclusive food vendor, you must have your application into the Emery County Recreation office by March 21. CASA Volunteers Needed
Each year hundreds of children in Emery and Carbon counties become wards of the juvenile court system due to child abuse, neglect or abandonment. The child welfare system can only devote so much time and attention to each individual case and, consequently, to each individual child. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Volunteers are ordinary men and women who find it in their hearts and their schedules to help these abused and neglected children. Cleveland Rabies Clinic
Cleveland Town will sponsor a rabies clinic on Feb. 23 from 1:30-3 p.m. at the Cleveland Cemetery storage building located at 200 North 600 East in Cleveland. Dr. Griggs will be the veterinarian this year. All dogs must be licensed by March 1. Dog licenses are $5 for spayed and neutered, $15 if not. All dog owners are encouraged to take advantage of this clinic. There will be only one for Cleveland Town this year. Late fees will be assessed after March 1.
