Editor,
With the escalating cost of fuel everyone is blaming big oil companies and especially our out of touch senators. Let’s reverse this thinking and put the full blame directly on those who created this problem-all our Senators. All our Senators fear the cost of losing the vote of the extreme radical environmentalists. They keep standing in the way of drilling for more domestic oil and building of new refineries.
They stopped the drilling of oil in one of the largest oil deposits in the U.S. Alaskan Peninsula. They stopped the U.S. from drilling in another large known oil deposit in the Gulf of Mexico. But it is OK for China to drill there. The enviromentalists appeal every application to drill for oil or gas in the continental boundaries of the United States.
Our Senators must pass a bill, whereas any person filing an appeal that constitutes or has a direct negative impact on another person, that person or persons who feels the impact, has the right to file a lawsuit against that person who filed the appeal. This would force the environmentalists to rethink the filing of their many frivolous appeals.
