Castle Dale City Christmas Party
The Castle Dale City Christmas Party will be held on Dec. 12 at 5:30 p.m. at the Castle Dale City Park. There will be chili and hot chocolate for everyone, wagon rides and Santa will be there too! Prizes will be awarded to the five best decorated homes.
Annual Candle Light Service
The Desert Edge Chapel will be holding it’s annual Candle Light Service on Dec. 24, at 6 p.m. The Chapel is located at 500 South Main in Huntington.
Cleveland’s Christmas Eve
Cleveland Town will hold its annual Christmas Eve Party on Dec. 24 at the Town Hall starting at 6 p.m. As always, there will be a short program, games, prizes and songs. Santa will stop for the kids.
Cleveland Community Christmas
The Cleveland Community Christmas Party will be Dec. 21. At 5 p.m. there will be caroling and hay rides, meet at Town Hall; 5:30 p.m. will be the lighting of the Christmas tree by the Mayor; 5:45 p.m. will be the Christmas party and dinner at the Cleveland church. There is a rumor that Santa Claus may show up.
RSVP Christmas Open House

Huntington Glee Club and Women’s Chorus
The Huntington Glee Club and Women’s Chorus will present their 2002 Christmas Program Dec. 22 at the Huntington LDS Stake Center at 7:30 p.m., featuring a Children’s Chorus and the cantata “O Night of Joy for Christ is Born” by David Len Allen.

Missoula Children’s Theater
Missoula Children’s Theater will present “Tales of Hans Christian Anderson,” on the College of Eastern Utah campus Dec. 9-14. Auditions will be on Dec. 9 from 4-6 p.m. in the BAC Dance Studio. Dec. 14 there will be two performances at the Geary Theater at 3 and 7 p.m. No advance preparation is necessary, most students will rehearse four hours each day Monday through Friday. All student 2nd through 12th grade are encouraged to audition at no cost to the student.

The book, “Cowboy Poetry From the San Rafael” will be available at the Museum of the San Rafael in Castle Dale beginning the first week of December. Deadline for 2002 Livestock Compensation Program
The deadline for applications under LCP is close of business Dec. 13. This program provides assistance to certain livestock producers experiencing severe 2001-2002 crop year feed and pasture losses because of drought. Deadline for Visual Arts Fellowship Applications
Utah Arts Council announced the deadline for the 2003 Visual Arts Fellowship as Feb. 3, 2003. The program awards 2-$5,000 fellowships annually to help further the development of Utah’s visual artists. They are awarded in areas of crafts, drawing, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculture as well as performance and conceptual art. Quivira Coalition and Utah Range Coalition: Survival Tools for Today’s Ranch

Museum of Church History and Art
“With Every Stitch” a new textile exhibit will be open from Nov. 15 through Oct. 19, 2003. “Christmas Creches from Around the World” will be open from Nov. 23 through Jan. 1, 2003 and will be showing Nativity scenes from around the world. New Snow College and SUU Program Guarantees Transfer of Credits
Snow College and Southern Utah University have set into action the Dual Admission/Intent-To-Transfer Program. This program guarantees transfer of credits from Snow to SUU. Successful completion of Snow’s general education requirements will fulfill SUU’s general requirements, if students receive a passing grade. Participating students will also have access to services, activities and advisement from the University while still attending Snow. They will also be eligible to participate in sporting events, student activities and cultural events as any regular SUU student is, immediately.
