Fund Raiser Yard/Bake Sale

Relay For Life
The Relay For Life cancer walk will be held June 20-21 at the Emery High School track beginning at 6 p.m. The survivor’s lap will be held to begin the event, and the walk will continue through the night with a luminary lighting taking place after dark. International Migratory Bird Day Celebrated At Desert Lake On May 10
The Division of Wildlife Resources will participate in the celebration of International Migratory Bird Day by sponsoring a waterbird viewing event on May 10 at Desert Lake in Emery County from 8-11 a.m. The event is free to the public and no pre-registration is required. DWR biologists will be on-hand with spotting scopes and binoculars to assist the public with waterfowl identification. Know Before You Go
An ATV permit class will be held May 15 at the old courthouse building beginning at 7 p.m. for ages 8-16 to be legal to drive on public lands. You must pre-register at the Emery County Recreation office located at 75 South 400 East, Castle Dale by May 13. Strike Out Cancer COED Softball Tournament
The tournament will start at 6 p.m. May 30 at the Complex in Huntington and go all night. The entry fee is $140. Questions and to register call Mark Justice 687-2403 or 687-2234. Entry fees will be donated to the Emery County Relay For Life.

American Legion Yard Sale and Bake Sale
The American Legion Auxiliary Post Unit #42 will be holding a bake sale and yard sale at Mayor’s Park in Ferron on May 17 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in conjunction with Armed Forces Day. All proceeds will go towards Operation Home Support which is a program where packages are sent to our men and women who are serving. Special Needs Dance Program
Registration will be held May 12 at the Emery County Recreation office for children with special needs dance program. The program will run May 14-15 from 4-5:30 p.m. each day. Heritage Days Rodeo Concessions

Attention Landowners and Farmers Pipeline Awareness Meeting
For those that live on or near pipeline rights-of-way. The pipeline group will be holding a public awareness meeting open to landowners and farmers who are located or work near a pipeline right of way. The meeting will be held at the Carbon County fairgrounds event center, 393 South Fairgrounds Road, Price, on May 20 at 6:30 p.m. A free buffet dinner will be served for all the attendees from Carbon and Emery counties. Festive Friday
Festive Fridays, sponsored by Utah State University Extension will be held May 9-Family Reunions and Picnics. Note, the May date is a change from May 2. Stroke and Osteoporosis Screening
Residents living in and around Huntington are invited to come in for a free screening. The complete screening package now includes a new heart rhythm screening which checks for irregular heartbeat, a major risk factor for stroke.
