Clawson Town Yard Sale

Arapeen Ladies Only Ride

$1,000 Reward


For the identification and conviction of the thief who stole a Honda Generator and propane tank from a well located in the Tidwell Draw area of Emery County. If you have any information concerning the theft of this equipment, contact Ray Jeffs of the Emery County Sheriff’s Office, 435-381-2404. The cows who are now choking on the dust would appreciate the help in restoring their water supply. The cows need the equipment more than the thief who stole it. Emery County Youth Football


Emery County youth football registration will be held Aug. 26-27 from 5-7 p.m. at the Emery County Recreation Center, 75 South 400 East, Castle Dale. This program is for youth fifth-seventh grades and the fee is $65. Payment is required at the time of registration. The participant must be at registration to receive a uniform. Historical Society Cowboy Poetry Night


The Emery County Historical Society will host their annual Cowboy Poetry night at the Castle Valley Ranch on Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. Kent Petersen, local cowboy poet will be the guest poet, and feature poetry by other local poets. Music will be provided by Desert Rose and the evening will wind up with Dutch oven cobbler and ice cream. Remember to bring a lawn chair and a jacket. Your $5 yearly dues can be paid this night to keep the events happening.

Food Handler’s Classes

The Taste of Home Cooking School


The Taste of Home Cooking School on Sept. 13 in Price. This year the event will be held at the Carbon County Events Center. Power Wheelchairs Available


The Senior Wheels USA Program makes available Power Wheelchairs to Senior Citizens and the permanently disabled at no cost to the recipient, if they qualify. The Power Wheelchairs are provided to those who can no longer walk safely, nor self propel a manual wheelchair and who mee the additional guidelines of the program. Looking for Host Families


Academic Foundation for International Cultural Exchange is looking for host families in the local area to host a foreign exchange student. These young ambassadors are between 15 and 18 years of age and all speak English. Student’s profiles will start arriving for students from various countries.
