Letter to the Editor: It’s about souls

By WILLIAM SHARP Castle Dale

Editor,
Is it possible that a majority of Americans hope for a better future now rests in the hands of a man who could stand by and watch a newborn baby screaming for help die because of his mandated refusal to give it food or medical attention?
Barack Obama’s voting record on infanticide in Illinois was well detailed by a nurse working at an Illinois hospital. Nurse Jill Stanek wrote that she discovered babies were being aborted alive and shelved to die in soiled utility rooms or trash cans.
Legislation has been presented on the federal level and in various states called the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. It states that all live-born babies are guaranteed the same constitutional right to equal protection, whether or not they were wanted. BAIPA sailed through the U.S. Senate by unanimous vote. Even Senators Clinton, Kennedy and Kerry agreed a mother’s right to “choose” stopped at her baby’s delivery. The bill also passed overwhelmingly in the House. But in Illinois, the state version of BAIPA repeatedly failed, thanks in large part to then state Senator Barack Obama. Obama voted against the measure twice and it ultimately failed. It only passed in 2005, after Obama left. Obama’s lack of mercy, shocked me. I have framed on my wall a Chicago Sun-Times cartoon published during the campaign. Obama is holding a sign that read “Live birth abortion” on it. God is reaching down from heaven to a baby in front of Obama, and the baby is reaching up to God. Obama is yelling at God, “You keep out of this!” Former Presidential candidate Alan Keyes recently said Jesus Christ wouldn’t vote for Obama because of Obama’s fanatical support of abortion to the point of condoning infanticide. Many in the pro-life movement see Obama as the most evil man who has ever run for president.
How could it come to this? Are Americans now ready to trade their souls for the promise of lower gas prices?
Now before any of you mistake me for a Republican let me clearly state that Barack wouldn’t even have a chance were it not for the carefully directed destruction of the constitution and the economy due in large part to the Republicans. It is my firm belief that the players behind the scenes are using the Republicans and the Democrats like a tag team taking turns pushing Americans towards compromise on moral issues that will eventually result in the greatest loss of all, our souls.
Bear in mind that during the well televised Clinton-Lewinski affair, gasoline prices were virtually cut in half and the cry went up “Who cares about the morals of the president. He is good for the economy.” In doing so millions of American children were constantly fed this example.
Is there a way out? Yes. We should stop supporting the lesser of two evils. Stop voting for the parties who are taking turns destroying America. Take a close look at the Constitution Party. The Constitution Party has the original answers to fix problems like abortion, high gas prices, free trade, taxation, the Patriot Act, McCain-Fiengold, and a host of other intense problems facing Americans. If winning the election is all that matters to you than the Constitution Party isn’t for you. But, if your soul matters to you maybe it’s time you acted like it. Realize God in his fairness has allowed us millions of witnesses from every nation, race, and culture, people who have died and come back to tell us what the other side is like. For some it was a terrifying experience, (so much for the you see what you want to see theory).
The Bible describes our problem very clearly; “And when he cometh, he shall deliver such as are for death to death; and such as are for captivity to captivity,” (Jeremiah 43:11).
