The Division of Wildlife Resources sponsored a youth pheasant hunt on Nov. 8 at the Huntington Wildlife Management Area situated on the North Loop road near Huntington.
DWR biologists picked up 150 male ring-necked pheasants at a commercial game bird farm and planted them in the WMA prior to the hunt.
Sixty four youth and their parents participated throughout the day in this special hunt. The weather was beautiful. The boys, parents and dogs enjoyed a wonderful day of hunting.
