The people of Orangeville were awakened on June 15 with the traditional dynamite blasts for the welcoming of Orangeville Day. And if that didn’t wake you then maybe the sound of an Apache Helicopter making its rounds through Orangeville did. The day started out with breakfast with the mayor and his council. Then the annual big parade, where youngsters were found scattered all over picking up every piece of candy possible. Most of the day was filled with many games and entertainment. The Humphrey Brothers held their lamb fry later that night and fireworks were held at dusk.
