Rose Grako
PRICE-Rose Angotti Grako, age 84, passed away March 24, 2008 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo.
She was born Jan. 18, 1924 in Mohrland, Utah to Salvatore “Sam” and Catherine Rose Guzzo Angotti.
Married Louis F. Grako, Nov. 23, 1946, in Price, Utah. He passed away on July 19, 1972.
Rose was a member of the Notre Dame De Lourdes Catholic Church in Price. One of her greatest passions was golf, at which she excelled. She was a member of the Carbon Country Club and the Ladies Golf Association. She was a lifetime resident of Carbon County, where she was well known for her humor and Italian spaghetti sauce. Her grandkids always said that there was never a dull moment around their “Nana”.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Louis ( Denise) Grako, Grand Junction Colo., Gary (Bobbie) Grako, Price, Utah, Gina (Todd) Bowen, Orem, Utah; two sisters and one brother, Mary Paloni, Angelina (George) Farlaino, and John (Mary) Angotti all of Price, Utah; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Nothing more would brighten up her day than to see her two great-granddaughters Anson and Millie Rose.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband, Louis F. Grako, brother, Tony Angotti (World War II), sister, Annie Angotti Oliveto, grandson, Jeffrey L. Grako.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated, Friday March 28, 10 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Vigil service was Thursday evening 7 p.m., at the church. The family was at Notre Dame Church Thursday and Friday one hour prior to the service. Committal service, Price City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price

Connie Ann Ware
ORANGEVILLE�Connie Ann Ware, age 61, passed away on March 25, 2008 in Ferron, Utah. She was born on March 9, 1947 in Price, Utah, to Kenneth Cyril and Olive Esther Leslie Wilberg.
Connie married Chris Michael Ware on June 19, 1965 in Castle Dale, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized on Nov. 6, 1982 in the Provo LDS Temple.
Connie was a shy, loving person. She was a perfect model to those who knew her. She enjoyed four-wheeling and gardening. She was also very talented with the arts standing out in music, crocheting, photography, and scrapbooking.
Connie was very unselfish in every way imaginable. She had a “heart of gold”. Kids were Connie’s inspiration to life. She worked at the school as a special education aide, and no one will ever know what every child meant to her.
Connie was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and Mrs. Ware to her students. She will be loved forever.
Connie is survived by her husband, Chris M. Ware; four children: Christian (David) James, Courtney (Cori) Ware, Cymberly (Matthew) Erni, and Casey (Connie Jean) Ware; six grandchildren: Misty Lee Ann Allen, Whitney Lynn Allen, Makita Franklin Erni, Braxton Ken Ware, and Kambree Hope Ware, Brennen Chris Ware; one sister, VaLynn (Doug) Blume; and one brother, Leslie (Linda) Wilberg.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Colton Andrew Ware.
Funeral services were Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Orangeville LDS Second Ward Chapel. There was a viewing on Friday, March 28, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale (720 North Center Street), and on Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment was in the Orangeville City Cemetery. Services were in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
Sean Gunderson
SALT LAKE CITY/PRICE- Eric Sean Gunderson, age 28, returned home on March 24, 2008.
He was born Jan. 17, 1980 in Price, Utah to James D. and Marlene Richardson Gunderson.
On Feb. 3, 2007 he married Kami Christensen in Las Vegas, Nev.
Sean was a longtime resident of Carbon County and a graduate of Carbon High School Class of 1998. He was a talented snowboarder, and was always excited when the first snow fell. He loved the outdoors, and when summer rolled around he was ready to head up into the mountains and do some camping and fishing. He loved to cook and was a master of the grill.
Sean had the greatest sense of humor and he could make anyone laugh. He had a big, but tender heart and a personality all his own.
He is survived by his parents, Jim and Marlene Gunderson; wife Kami; brother David; sister Alison; grandmother, Nedra Richardson; brother-in-law Todd, and his dog Reece. Sean also leaves behind his nieces, Alex, BreAnn, Danielle and his “baby girl” Kamryn; nephews, Jaren, Trevor and his little buddy Austin.
Sean was preceded in death by his grandma and grandpa Gunderson; grandpa Richardson, and cousin Sue.
Funeral service, Friday, March 28, 2008, 11 a.m., Carbonville LDS Ward, located at 4000 North 1900 West in Spring Glen. Family was at Mitchell Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the church Friday one hour prior to service. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price.
Helen VanNatta Jouflas
HELPER-Our loving mother and grandmother, Helen Pilling VanNatta Jouflas, returned to her Heavenly Father on March 27, 2008 at the age of 89.
She was born Dec. 6, 1918 in the small farming community of Victor in Emery County to William “Monte” and Grace Erickson Pilling.
Married William Clifford VanNatta, June 3, 1938 in Price, Utah, he passed away on Dec. 23, 1974. On Dec. 6, 1985, she married Chris P. Jouflas in Salt Lake City; he also preceded her in death on March 2, 1994.
Helen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a longtime resident of Carbon and Emery counties, where she was a devoted member of the Ladies American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, and working on ceramics at the senior center. Helen loved playing bridge and she always looked forward to her weekly card games with the girls. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her three daughters, Charlene (Dave) Pearce, Salt Lake City, Sandra Kidd, Keller, Texas, Helen M. VanNatta, Federal Way, Wash.; three granddaughters, Leslie, Cindy, Karen; five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and a daughter Barbara Jean.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the entire staff at the Parkdale Care Center and to her special friend and caregiver Brenda Standley.

Mary Jane Yelonek
EAST CARBON-Mary Jane Jelaco Yelonek, age 88, passed away peacefully March 29, 2008 after a brief stay at the Beehive Home in Price.
She was born on April 11, 1919 in Van Houten, N.M. to John and Anna Sakulich Jelaco.
In 1940, she married Joseph Steve Yelonek in Ogden, Utah; he later died on Dec. 20, 1982.
Mary was a loving person and caregiver who enjoyed nature, friends, and writing poetry. Over the years many of her works were submitted for publication. She enjoyed reading daily scriptures and she faithfully began and ended each day in prayer. She was valedictorian of her graduating class. Mary loved to sing, and in her earlier years her beautiful alto voice accompanied the Women’s Choir in Wyoming.
Mary enjoyed camping, gardening, baking, canning, and sharing her gift baskets of goodies with neighbors and friends. She loved working on crossword puzzles, crocheting and knitting afghans for everyone to enjoy. She was a tireless worker, who was a firm believer in hard work, having fun and just enjoying the simpler things in life. We will all miss her beautiful smile, keen sense of humor and her quick wit. Mary touched the hearts of many, and her parting will leave a void in all who knew and loved her.
Survived by her daughter, Virginia Amendola, San Fransico,Calif.; son, Gilbert John Yelonek, Grand Junction, Colo.; sisters, Katherine (Red) Morocki, Green River, Wyo., Ann Bozner, Riverside, Calif; dear friend and caregiver, Walter Dickerson, East Carbon; grandchildren, Scott Yelonek, Becky Johnson, Laura Nelson; and four loving great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, John, George, Mike, Joe and Nick; and a son-in-law, Tony Amendola.
