Concerning the UFO article in the March 18 issue of the Emery County Progress. I put information from an email I received from Steve Maxfield in it. In this information it stated that Shaydon Johansen had said some things to Maxfield concerning what he had seen the night of March 2. We wish to apologize to Shaydon for including his comments. He denies what was attributed to him in the article. We apologize for any problems this may have caused Shaydon.
I also wish to comment on how some people can be so mean and rude to others. People are afraid to say what they really think and feel because others are so quick to point fingers and say we are crazy just because we have seen something that is unexplainable. Just because there isn’t an explanation for something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
The fact that since running this UFO article, I have had several people contact me with their stories of that evening and what they saw and heard. I had a lady from as far away as Moab comment on it. It seemed amazing to me, that so many people in Huntington saw and heard something that night and a logical explanation hasn’t come forth. We are so quick to rush to judgment about people. I didn’t see anything or hear anything that night and I live not far from where it was seen. We had been to Salt Lake that weekend for a wedding and I was pretty worn out as I dropped into bed that night. But, a block away strange things not explained happened. My sister-in-law heard the noise, but didn’t go out to look. I don’t know what happened, but I wish that those who are willing to come forth and speak about it wouldn’t be harrassed. It isn’t fair. What if some day, it’s you telling a story of strange happenings and no one believes you?
