Ione Conover Scow passed away on Sept. 16, 2008 in Mesa, Ariz. She was born in Utah, the fourth child of Jesse M. and Ione Stevens Conover. She and her husband, Richard D. Scow, were married in the Logan Utah LDS Temple.
They are the parents of four children: Steven (Mary Beth Bradley), Janece (Scott Larson), Sharon (Richard Bagley), and Kimberly (Victor Riches). She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Maurine Jensen and Kathleen Richardson. She was a graduate of South Emery High School and Arizona State University. She taught elementary education for 20 years at Holdeman School in Tempe.
She is survived by her husband, four children, 29 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren, and one brother, George Conover (Margaret) in Ferron and a brother-in-law, Grant Richardson of Mesa, one aunt, Loye Thompson of Orangeville, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services were held at the LDS Keating Chapel, 2224 West, Keating in Mesa, on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 10 a.m., with visitation one hour before. Viewing was held 6-8 p.m. the night before at Meldrum Mortuary, 52 North MacDonald in Mesa. Burial in the Mesa City Cemetery.
