Junior High wrestlers finish season at tourney

The Castle Valley Athletic Association held their annual junior high wrestling tournament last week at Helper Junior High School. Mont Harmon, after scoring 249 points, took home the championship trophy with Canyon View Junior High finishing second with 181 points, San Rafael third with 122 points and Helper fourth with 113 points.
Champions for Canyon View were Wyatt Oveson at 81 pounds, Cameron Allred at 93 pounds, Colten Collard at 111 pounds and Brandon McCandless at heavyweight.
Caleb Woolsey at 148 pounds was the only champion for San Rafael Junior High.
Finishing second for Canyon View were Jax Gardner at 75 pounds, McCoy Allred at 87 pounds, McKlane Allred at 99 pounds, Jeremiah Luke at 105 pounds, Taven Miller at 118 pounds and Tyler Dasch at 155 pounds.
Finishing second for San Rafael were Blayke Noyes at 132 pounds, Bret Sorenson at 140 pounds, Brent Sorenson at 175 pounds and Kalin Reynolds at heavyweight.
Finishing third for Canyon View were Leedon Johnson at 75 pounds, Slade Child at 118 pounds and Kendon Huff at 165 pounds.
Finishing third for San Rafael were Cezly Collard at 81 pounds, Wyatt Nelson at 111 pounds, Chase Bishop at 140 pounds and Cody Dale at heavyweight.
Finishing fourth for Canyon View were Cole Guymon at 105 pounds and Kennedy Byington at 111 pounds.
Finishing fourth for San Rafael were Stetson Bennett at 99 pounds, Devon Thompson at 118 pounds, Taylen Nielsen at 124 pounds and Tyrell Winters at 165 pounds.
