By By

Christine Jensen of the USU extension service taught sewing classes to young 4-H students.
It was held in the courthouse on Wednesday.
Each student brought an adult and a sewing machine.
The mom, aunt, friend or grandmother was there to help the child learn the basics of threading a sewing machine, and the safety rules of using that machine.
Jensen brought fabrics of all types and taught the students how to properly cut fabric for the project they would be constructing, which was a pillow case.
Jensen demonstrated the proper use of a rotary cutter and ruler and the 4-Hers cut out their pillowcases.
Those in attendance were: Kyleene Wright and Rebecca Wright; Trinidee Bell and Janet Bell; Jadree Huntington and Jodie Porter; Teslynn Gabbitas and Laura Gabbitas; Lexy Cox and Marquita Cox; Katina Farnsworth, Kacey Farnsworth and Paige Farnsworth; and Molly Jensen and Brettlyn Tuttle.
