Patricia L. Snowball, 67, of Elmo, died early Tuesday morning, Aug. 4, 2009 at Beehive Homes in Elmo. Pat was diagnosed with a brain tumor in early April of this year, and after a courageous decision to allow nature to take its course, she succumbed to this dreadful disease. Her two sons survive her, Kenton R., 45, of Loveland, Ohio, and John C., 36, of Elmo, as does her brother, Paul Longson, of Las Vegas, Nev. Her husband, Richard Peart Snowball, who died May 30, 2003, preceded her in death.
Pat served and loved her community, but was a very private person, and she was honored at an unannounced graveside memorial by her family Saturday morning. Her family wishes to thank her allies at Rocky Mountain Hospice and Beehive Homes for their unfailingly dignified care and service to Pat in her final days.
In lieu of cards, flowers, or gifts the family asks that donations be made in her name to the Death With Dignity National Center, the American Cancer Society, or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Services were in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Send condolences to the family at www.fausettmortuary.com.
