Elly Marie Stilson came into this world bright and early at 2:10 a.m. on Jan. 2, 2009. Weighing 8 pounds 10 ounces, she was eager to greet her parents, Jay and Amber Stilson, and become the New Year’s baby for Emery County.
Amber, a Cokeville, Wyo. native, moved here to Emery County with her husband Jay, who is a native of Orangeville, just a year ago. The couple met while he was attending school and she was working as a dental assistant in Ogden. Mutual friends introduced them.
Elly Marie was welcomed home by her two older brothers Tyler, 4, and Mason, 2. Amber is a full time mom while dad, Jay is a dentist working in Dr. Kent McKell’s office in Castle Dale.
Grandparents of the newborn are David and Sally Teichert of Cokeville, Wyo., and Leigh and Louis Stilson of Orangeville.
As the New Year’s Baby, Elly’s parents win a number of prizes donated by local merchants.
