Gary Ted Petersen, 66, of Ephraim, Utah, passed away Sept. 9, 2009, in Ephraim. He was born Dec. 6, 1942, in Manti, Utah to Ted B and Clara Stewart Petersen.
Gary had a love for horses and was a horse trader at heart. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and hunting. He never met a stranger and talked to everyone he came in contact with. He always had a story to tell or a joke to share.
He is survived by his daughters, JoLynn (Kris) Hansen, Emery; Devona (Ryan) Case, Oregon; Teddi (Kris) Riley, Green River, Wyo.; 12 grandchildren; and many others who thought of him as dad and grandpa; mother, Clara, Ephraim; siblings, Sue (Howard) Jordan, Montana; Elna (Steve) New, Idaho; David (Pricilla) Petersen, Arizona; and LuAnn Bodenstab, Ephraim; He was preceded in death by his son, Colton Petersen; and his father, Ted.
