FERRON-Gerald T. Hyatt, age 62, passed away Oct. 7, 2009, in Ferron. He was born Sept. 11, 1947 in Compton, Calif., to Albert and Tommye Ross Hyatt.
He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the National Rifle Association (N.R.A.), the American Legion, and an Honorary Member of the Utah Sheriff’s Association.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and riding his motorcycle. He also loved being a cowboy while working with his father on the ranch.
Gerald is survived by his father, Albert Hyatt of Clawson; two children: Dan (Melanie) Hyatt and Kristi Midgley both of California; a sister, Cheryl (Ed) Lechene of Ferron; eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Tommye Earlene Hyatt; and a brother, Albert Keith Hyatt.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale. There will be a viewing Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the mortuary prior to the services. Interment will be in the Orangeville City Cemetery.
