Orangeville Library Book Sale


The Orangeville Library will hold a used book sale Feb. 16-19 from 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Come check it out.

Sinbad Desert Amateur Radio Club

Coal Country Quilt Show


The San Rafael Piecemakers Quilt Guild is issuing a Call for Entries for the Second Annual Coal Country Quilt Show to be held March 19-20 at the Fairgrounds Event Center in Price. All quilts, contemporary or antique, are welcome. For more information call Michelle Anderson 435-749-9445.

CEU Play


“1776” opens Feb. 4 and plays through Feb. 10. A matinee is offered on Saturday, Feb. 6, at 2 p.m. It runs approximately two hours. Ticket prices are $7 adults; $5 seniors, non-CEU students and CEU faculty and staff; $3 CEU students with a CEU ID.

Rabies Clinic


Cleveland Town will sponsor a Rabies Clinic on Sat. February 27, 2010, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Cleveland Cemetery Storage Building, 200 N. 600 E. in Cleveland. Dr. Griggs will be the vet this year. All dogs are required to have a current rabies shot before they can be licensed for the new year. All dogs must be licensed by March 1,2010. Dog licenses are $5 for spayed or neutered, $15 if not. All dogs owner are encouraged to take advantage of this clinic. This will be the only clinic held this year. Late fees will be assessed after March 1, 2009.

St. Anthony Mama Mia Spaghetti Dinner


Will be held on Feb 14 at the Helper Auditorium from 4 – 7 p.m., $9 – adults, $4 – children under 10. New this year “Sweet Shoppe” Candy and baked items. Ticket chair; Ardith Keppler – 472-3036.

Snow fun in Orangeville


Orangeville Youth City Council will be having a snow activity on Feb. 13 for all city youth. Meet at the City Park at 1 p.m. and be prepared to play capture the flag and have a snowball fight.

Seeks Recreational Activies Information
Emery County Recreation is in the process of making a booklet containing a list of all county recreation events, registration dates, and activities. If you city, club, or group have any items that they would like to include in this booklet, please send the information to Emery County Recreation as soon as possible.

Millsite Golf Academy


A beginners golf class will be held Feb. 25 and run through April 1 at 6 p.m. at the Emery County Recreation Center for ages 8 through 99. This class will teach you golf terminology, etiquette, how to use clubs and much more information. A $25 fee is required. Bring your clubs with you. If you don’t have clubs, they will be provided.
Sponsors and golf clubs and cash donations are welcome.
The class will be taught by Jordan Leonard and Carl Sitterud.

Show Pig and Show Lamb Workshops


The Southeastern Utah Junior Livestock Show Committee is sponsoring workshops on how to select and care for show pigs and show lambs at 7 p.m. on Thur. February 11 at the Huntington Senior Citizen’s Center. Presenters will be USU Extension Agents Jim Jensen and Dennis Worwood. Topics will include: Selecting a Show Animal, Facilities, Health Care, Grooming, and Feeding. There is no charge for the workshops.

Valentine Dinner


The Huntington Stake will hold their adult Valentine dinner on Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. at the stake center in Huntington. Dinner and entertainment. Everyone welcome.

Valentine Carnival


The 15th annual Huntington Elementary Valentine Carnival will be held at Huntington Elementary gym on Feb. 12. The carnival is from 5-7:30 p.m. Food in the cafeteria; bake and craft sale; games for the children; tickets 10 for $1; games include bowling, face painting, coin toss, cake walk, fish pond, bean bag toss, football throw, stuffed animal game and many more. Everyone welcome.
