PRICE-Our loving husband, brother, and friend to all, Jerry Wayne Campbell, age 62, passed away Aug. 9, 2010 at home while surrounded by his family.
He was born Feb. 19, 1948 in Price, Utah to Ray Allen and Ella Robbins Campbell.
On Oct. 20, 1999 Jerry married the love of his life Becky Hadden in Las Vegas, Nev.
Jerry was raised in Wellington and graduated from Carbon High School. He later attended and graduated from Lincoln Institute of Technology in Phoenix, Ariz. Jerry resided in Carbon County for most of his life where he loved being a long haul truck driver for several years. He also worked as a coal miner for Hiawatha and the US Steel coal mines. Jerry shared a special love for animals and the outdoors. He was a member of CCOHVA where he enjoyed riding his ATV.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Campbell, Price; two brothers and one sister, RD (Peggy) Campbell, Marilyn (John) Reva, Clayton (Betty) Campbell, all of Wellington; and many other extended family members and dear friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Brian Tudor and the staff at Central Utah Cancer Clinic, Sherry King at Castleview Hospital, Dr. Sterling Potter, and the nursing staff at CNS Hospice.
A celebration of Jerry’s life was held, Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, 11 a.m., at the Carbon Emery Church of Christ, 3300 South Highway 6, Price. At Jerry’s request he will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered by family members at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Jerry has requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
