Don and Marian Roper were married on Sept. 2, 1960 in the Salt Lake Temple. Following their marriage, they made their first home in Pullman, Wash., where Don attended Washington State University. After receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, the couple returned to Utah and made their home in American Fork, where Don had a veterinary practice for 43 years. They are the parents of five children (Laura and Mark Clement of Lindon, Keith Roper of Fayetteville, Ark., Alisa and Brian Gunn of Mountain Green, Daniel and Sue Roper of Lehi, and Randall and Jerilyn Roper of Westfield, Ind.). They have 27 grandchildren. Following Don’s retirement in 2007, he and Marian moved to Huntington, where they are presently residing.
An open house will be held on Sept. 4, at Somewhere Inn Time, 175 North State St., Lindon, from 4-7 p.m., hosted by their children. Please, no gifts.
