PRICE- Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Helen Pretiger Guymon, age 60, passed away Nov. 17, 2010, at her home surrounded by her loving family, after a six year battle with breast cancer. She was born July 25, 1950 in Price, Utah to John and Mary Applehanz Pretiger.
Married David Guymon on June 22, 1968 in Price, Utah. Member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Helen worked for Eastern Utah Community Credit Union for many years.
She was an excellent cook and loved to cook for family and friends. She operated Helen’s Catering Service for many years. She loved to yard sale and was a great Rockies fan and a Jazz die hard. Her most favorite activity was watching her sons play sports. Everyone who knew her loved her and she made a difference where ever she was.
All those who knew her will sorely miss her.
Survived by her husband David Guymon, Price; sons, Brent (Tabitha); Jason (Amy); Jeremy; all of Salt Lake City, Urah; grandchildren, Jasmine, Texas; Maxim, Cheyenne, Bailey, Salt Lake City; sisters, Clara (Sherry) Rutherford, Marjorie Allred, Shirley (Franklin) Zupon, Evelyn Pretiger; all of Price; brother, John Pretiger, Castle Dale. Preceded in death by her parents and sister Lucille “Lou” Winkler.
Funeral Mass Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, 10 a.m, Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Vigil service Friday evening 7 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family was at Mitchell’s Friday evening one hour prior to service and at the church on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Committal service Price City Cemetery, Price.
